Hi everyone, yes yet another newster. Looking forward to sharing & learning. I'm basically a do it self kind, all within limits of course. I've enjoyed drag racing for some 30 years and still looking forward to several more. Thought I'd share a picture of my current ride.

OK details ….. car is an old prostock car from 81 built by Willie Rells. It’s a full round tube moly chassis, lamb struts, 4-link and 9” with 4.57 gears. Glide with 1.80 gears & Hughes 8” converter. 489 BBC with dart pro-1 heads. It’s basically a bolt together motor, eagle rotating assembly with SRP pistons. Heads & victor jr. intake are currently untouched. It’s topped off with a 4150-850. Combo has gone 8.94@150 but usually goes 9.1 @ 147-148 off the throttle stop.

I try to do all the mechanical work like trans. & motor assemble etc. I broke a lifter last year, so I’m in the process of putting the motor back together right now.

I was lucky, one lifter pair, the camshaft, and then it threw some stuff into one cylinder and scored one piston. Other than that, evrything was fine.

Lifters were crower SD, but not the HIPPO ones. 166 runs.
