Hello everyone! :-$

I own a 1978 Buick Regal with a 383 SBC. It's a street car that I mess with after work, I will drag race it when I can but plans are power/handling. I found this site from one of Tuner's old posts at Innovatemotorsports.com, I have been in the background reading what I can.

Nice to meet you folks,

Chris Wanczyk

Welcome again. Funny, one of our other members is building a Regal also but he's using an Oldsmobile Diesel block with aluminum main caps, Chevy pistons and rods, etc, Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake and plans to put a turbo or two on it before it's done. Can't remember the exact numbers but CID on that thing will be in the 370 something neighborhood. He doesn't post here much but he does read every day. Maybe he will get on and post some now that there's another Buick Regal guy on here. ;-)

Aluminum main caps? Really? What's the advantage, weight?
