thanks Gary
i think i have it sorted now

its the supercessions that make it harder were some go from an 1108 to a 6608 ect

i needed some 1108-14 but had to settle on a 6608-14D but it will be fine for the application as the short height loc nut will cover the Drill hole

i have found it easier to buy most of the bolt in the US as down here some of the dealers dont want to sell you any Aircraft gear if you tell then that its for a car

i learnt very early on as one of the dealer down here didnt have what i needed but told me were i should be able to purchase it from & advised me to tell the supplier that i required them for an experimental aircraft

regards
rod

Hi Gary,

Didn't mean to snub ya.  I've had my head buried up to my ears in html and java code the last few days.

I was originally Piedmont and came to US Airways by way of the big merger back in '89.  Jeez, what a mistake THAT was!!!  Anyways, I flew the 76 for a few years internationally but was flying the 73-400 when I went out on the medical.  Such is life.  Looks like American will be a survivor.  Not too sure about the rest of us.

Again, welcome aboard.  If ya like racing, you'll like it here.

George

thanks to everyone , i dont think there,s anyone in the aviation field safe now.  being ex twa at k.c. we'll be the 1st to go if anything happens. there used to be 5000 people at this base now after all the layoffs, etc. since aa took over theres less than 300 mechanics.
