OK, just so you all will know, this is the Electrician I work for occasionally.  As he said, we've been friends forever, or at least it seems that way.  We've been in and out of touch over the years but we always knew the other was there if needed.  That's why when I needed electrical work for the new house we built, Glenn was the one I called.  After all, what are friends for if you can't use'em a little!  ;-)

I'll caution you up front, he doesn't type so don't look for a lot of dialog from him.  He's been lurking and reading in here now for a few months so I finally signed him up.

For a little background, when we first met he had a 53 Ford with a SBC engine in it so like me, his hot rodding roots go way back, like to high school.  The one car that we talk about most though was a 1965 Chevelle he had.  That car was somewhat of a legend around here at one point as there were many "Pig Block" Chevelles that got to see what the ass end of that car looked like!  He had a set of M/T Super Scavenger headers that had a killer sound and a 350HP 327 SBC with the 375HP solid cam, Muncie 4 speed, a 4:88 posi and it was fast!  We speculated at the time he bought the car that the car had been preped as a race car cuz there was NO sound deadner in the doors.  When you closed them they sounded like a tin can but hey, light is fast, and it was.

Anywho, somewhere along the way he got into Harleys and the car stuff kinda fell by the wayside.  The Chevelle got sold and the motorcycles satisfied his need for speed.  I don't know exactly where the Vette came from or when but it's a clean car and looks almost completely stock except for the hood, which is an aftermarket cowl scoop model.

The engine he built then decided to rebuild before he used it is a 355 SBC and I think with a Crane blower camshaft.  It's got low compression forged pistons for the blower application.  I don't know what brand but I'll guess TRW.  The iron heads that he is taking off were worked long ago by Sonnys Racing engines as he and Sonny are good friends.  Now it will have those aluminum heads that came off MMs "Queen".

Now all we need to do is stay on his ass so he will go ahead and put the engine in the damn car!  I won't tell you what year that short block was built!  He would never live it down!  ;-)

Welcome buddy!  ;-)
