My name is Gil and I would like to thank everyone for allowing me to be a part of this very civil forum. I've been lurking for a couple months getting a feel for the folks who post here, gotta say that you all are very helpful and family oriented just what I would expect from drag racers and associated enthusiast. Once again thanks everyone.

Hey Gil .. Welcome to the site. With the group we have here its pretty easy to keep it civil. There are many who share their knoweldge and others who are looking for it.

Merry Christmas and God Bless you and the rest of our Troops !

Hi Gil.  I'm ex-USAF myself.  Worked and flew on T-29s, C-131s, and EC-135s.  Glad to have another AF guy on here.  The squids outnumber us. =;   Welcome aboard.  Hope you enjoy your stay.  Where are you based?  I used to spend a lot of time in Frankfurt, Weisbaden, and Munich.

Merry Christmas and God Bless our troops.

George

Welcome.  I've had 42 years in Southern California so that qualifies me to identify airheads.

Again, welcome to MSV Gil.  We hope your will enjoy your time here.  And a special thanks for your service to our great country!  I'm a former "ground pounder" myself!

RE: our "civil" board.  We have a somewhat different philosophy on that.  You can get along with others here or you can get along somewhere else.  You won't find any flame wars on this board!  If you have a difference of opinion on something, then state your case and move on cuz after all, there are usually several different ways to achieve the same goals.

Most of what you will find here will be “real world” experience, which is different for each of us so you will likely have different solutions for the same problem.  We then leave it up to the person seeking info to make his or her own mind up on what to do.  No one person has all the answers but you will normally get input from numerous people on most any topic.

So having said all that, pull up a chair, grab one of those excellent German beers and join in! =;

Thanks everyone for the warm reception, I'm from Xenia Ohio and I'm stationed here at Ramstein AB, Germany. Without Americans there wouldn't be a military, thanks for your kind words and support. Happy Holidays to all of you and your friends and families.

I have a 89 mustang GT, upper lower control arms and 3.73 gears the usual bolt ons, nothing too special. I'm really into chevys seeing that is what I drove before I joined. Had a buddy with a stang rode in his and I was hooked. But later when I get back to the states it's BBC  all the way. Would like to do a 68-72 Nova or 67-68 Camaro, will see after I retire here in about 6-7 years. Once again thanks ahead of time for your knowledge and any help that I need.  Your friend Gil.
