I got this QFX main body from our Carb parts guy Bruce (nomad) and was looking at the difference in the skirt on the
banjo compared to the BLP that is on the HP carb now..
The bottom of the flair will be gone when I find someone that can remove it and make it .980 instead of what it is now..

I can. Bruce said you wanted another set, let me know if you want those cut and I'll take care of it. I have some expanding collets for a mill I use in my lathe, works like a charm.

Many years ago when I didnt have much in the way of machinery I made an adapter for the tool post on my lathe to fit a dye grinder into it. Then I put the booster into the lathe chuck, put the lathe in neutral and rotated the chuck with the key as a handle and brought the die grinder into the job. Pop one perfect booster job. You can put tapers on it, and do all sorts of things by angling the tool post; pretty cool huh. When there's a will there's a way.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but Does the Quickfuel main body accept Holley banjos? I actually have been meaning to contact nomad for a main body also, just been too tied up at work to think about it.

Not really Mark as you can see.. There also longer in length.. The Holley banjo's fit but real sloppy and the QF banjo's and less
money than the Holley/BLP banjo's and the BLP boosters fit the QF banjo's..

The Holley banjo's will fit but as you can see the entrance taper is different. But the banjo's are not real expensive, and the booster inserts are interchangeable.

Thanks Barry. Darn - I was hoping to use the BLP external linkage I already own. Oh well - I guess I can upgrade a different carb.

The external linkage from BLP is fine, you can't use Holley internal linkage.
