Is Magna fuel pumps compatible with E85??? Does it require a different filter??

To the pump compatibility issue, I'd say yes but got no clue on the filter especially if it's a paper element. I'd contact Magna fuel and get an answer from them.

No issue with my Magnafuel pump, I would recommend a screen rather than a paper element. Weather permitting I go back to some E85 testing this coming weekend. The 1250 is on the car...

Thanks Mark/Ken.......Looking forward to getting it together and giving it a try soon..
So Mark as far as a screen, use the same one for alky?? Also should I remove the foam
in the cell??

I agree with Mark on the filter. Use the mesh screen filter that they have for Methanol. Th problem with the paper elements it the epoxy they use to glue the paper to the filter ends. After time the e85 will cause it to flake off and can stick a N&S.

As far as foam I have an aluminum RCI cell I bought about 5 years ago and have had e85 in it since putting it in the car and no issues with the foam. Now last year put a new aluminum cell in my sisters car and the foam began to break up and filled up the filter. The difference I could see in the foam is mine was the dense foam. The foam in hers looked like a scouring pad. Not very dense.

If you want to try it out pull some foam from the tank and soak it in e85 for a few days and check to see if it breaking up.

Weather permitting here I should be back on the track in 2 weeks.
