Looks like this Communist administration is bursting head long in yet another step toward a "one world government" by having John ("I served in Vietnam") Kerry sign this UN Small Arms Treaty, which in essence will eventually give the United Nations control over our 2nd Amendment rights to bear arms and we already know how that will end!

Lets see how far the Communists in our government will go for force this on us as the Senate will have to ratify it before it becomes fully binding even though the treaty itself does become binding in the UN's eyes once Kerry signs it.

If you've never sent your United States Senator a letter before, it's time to send one now and demand that they NOT VOTE TO ADOPT THIS "TREATY"!

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, in a move that puts the Obama administration at odds with the powerful American gun lobby, will sign the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty regulating the $70 billion international conventional arms business, diplomats said on Tuesday.

A senior State Department official said President Barack Obama's administration would notify the U.S. Senate on Tuesday and Kerry would sign the treaty on Wednesday on the sidelines of the annual U.N. General Assembly in New York.

In order to be put into full effect, the treaty must be ratified by the U.S. Senate, which won't happen, but that doesn't mean Second Amendment supporters don't have anything to worry about.

On June 29, 130 Republican House members sent a letter to President Obama and Secretary Clinton arguing that the proposed treaty infringes on the “fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms”. The letter charges that “…the U.N.’s actions to date indicate that the ATT is likely to pose significant threats to our national security, foreign policy, and economic interests as well as our constitutional rights.” The lawmakers adamantly insist that the U.S. Government has no right to support a treaty that violates the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Democrats have accused Republicans of making this a political issue, maintaining that the treaty poses no Second Amendment threat. Others, such as former U.N. ambassador John Bolton, caution gun owners to take this initiative seriously. He believes that the U.N. “is trying to act as though this is really just a treaty about international arms trade between nation states, but there is no doubt that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control.”

NRA Reacts to Signing of UN Arms Trade Treaty: Blatant Attack on Constitutional Rights

Katie Pavlich | Sep 25, 2013

Secretary of State John Kerry has signed the UN Arms Trade Treaty on behalf of the Obama administration and the National Rifle Association, which has spent years fighting the treaty, isn't happy about it.

“The Obama administration is once again demonstrating its contempt for our fundamental, individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms,” Executive Director of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action Chris W. Cox said. “This treaty threatens individual firearm ownership with an invasive registration scheme. The NRA will continue working with the United States Senate to oppose ratification of the ATT.”

Keep in mind, the treaty isn't about weapons "of war" as the UN wants us all to believe, but instead covers "small are and light weapons," which means firearms owned by U.S. citizens are fair game. More from the NRA:

"Notably, the ATT includes "small arms and light weapons" within its scope, which covers firearms owned by law-abiding citizens. Further, the treaty urges recordkeeping of end users, directing importing countries to provide information to an exporting country regarding arms transfers, including “end use or end user documentation” for a “minimum of ten years.” Each country is to “take measures, pursuant to its national laws, to regulate brokering taking place under its jurisdiction for conventional arms.” Data kept on the end users of imported firearms is a de-facto registry of law-abiding firearms owners, which is a violation of federal law. Even worse, the ATT could be construed to require such a registry to be made available to foreign governments. "

That being said, the Senate would have to ratify the treaty for it to go into full effect, which is not expected.

“These are blatant attacks on the constitutional rights and liberties of every law-abiding American. The NRA will continue to fight this assault on our fundamental freedom,” Cox said.

Looks like Oblmo's own Democrat party has finally shut the door on him and that UN Communist small arms treaty will be DOA in the Senate.

Democratic Senators Oppose U.N. Arms Trade Treaty

Posted on October 22, 2013

Quote:
Fairfax, Va. – Today, four members of the U.S. Senate sent a letter to President Barack Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry and the United Nations with the clear message that the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty will not be ratified. Earlier this year, the U.N. adopted and President Obama directed Secretary Kerry to sign this treaty, which does not exclude civilian arms from its scope and therefore directly threatens the Second Amendment.

“This letter sends a clear message to President Obama and Secretary Kerry that the Arms Trade Treaty will not receive the 67 votes in the U.S. Senate necessary for ratification,” said Chris W. Cox, executive director of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action. “On behalf of our 5 million members, the NRA would like to thank those who signed this letter for their principled stand in defending the Second Amendment freedoms of all law-abiding Americans against this attempt by the U.N. to undermine American sovereignty.”

Sens. Jon Tester (D-MT), Max Baucus (D-MT), Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND), and Joe Donnelly (D-IN) sent a letter to President Barack Obama saying, “because of unaddressed concerns that this Treaty’s obligations could undermine our nation’s sovereignty and the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans, we would oppose the Treaty if it were to come before the U.S. Senate.”

This joins the bipartisan effort of 50 fellow Senators and 181 members of the U.S. House who sent letters to the President stating their opposition to the ATT earlier this month.

The U.N. Resolution 2117 lists 21 points dealing with firearms control, but perhaps of most interest is point number 11: “CALLS FOR MEMBER STATES TO SUPPORT WEAPONS COLLECTION, DISARMAMENT ---”

See the full text here: http://unscr.com/en/resolutions/2117

HOORAY - 53-46 vote - The U.S. Senate voted against the U.N. resolution.

Now, Which 46 Senators Voted to Destroy Us? Well, let their names become known !! See below . If you vote in one of the states listed with these 46 “legis..traitors”… vote against them.

In a 53-46 vote, the Senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. The Statement of Purpose from the Bill reads: "To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty." The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S. and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo.

Astonishingly, 46 out of our 100 United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power?? Here are the 46 senators who voted to give your rights to the U.N. and notice that there are NO REPUBLICANS IN THIS LIST!!

Baldwin (D-WI)
Baucus (D-MT)
Bennett (D-CO)
Blumenthal (D-CT)

Brown (D-OH)
Cantwell (D-WA)
