I made a little progress today. The new motor is in. I had to move the fans to the outside but still using the factory radiator and shroud.

Looking good!!! And you can loose the fan shroud it you want, been there and it don't do anything once you move the fans to the front.

That looks like a BLP belt drive pump. I've got one that looks exactly like it that I've run since back in the mid 1990s. It's expensive but it's also a "bullet proof" piece! \:D/

The main reason I keep the shroud is it holds the radiator in place and I like the look. It gets a lot of looks when they walk by and see the BB and a stock radiator setup.

It is a BLP. It was sent to BLP this spring for a rebuild and to have the bypass delete installed.

I have been fighting gremlins but just about got everything lined out. I got the Alky system on and everything was great till last week when I got ready to go to the track for the first time with the new motor. While I was warming the truck up the belt drive pump started leaking out the main shaft. Here is a pic of the seal.

When it started leaking I switched back to E85. I finally got to make a pass. Yes it was lean but I'm gonna fatten it up and try it again this weekend. Here is a short video my son took with his phone. It's not very good but it is all I got.

I think it is telling me I need another converter. First pass I left at 3000 with 7.5 pounds of air and 60' was 1.304. That's all I got on the first pass cause for some reason it didn't shift into 2nd gear. (electric shift) So I made a few changes for the 2nd pass. I raised the launch to 3800, raised the air pressure to 8, went from 6600 to 6800 on the shift and changed lanes and the 60' was the exact same 1.304. It shifted this time and ran 6.07 @ 110. I feel like there is a couple tenths left in there. I am going to fatten it up and try it again this weekend.

It'll get there. You matched my best time on the 1st day at the track. Need to find out what the converter falls back to that will help tell the story there. "They" say you look for about 800 or so. Tuning of course get some laps on it find out what it likes. \:D/
