'34 Ford 3 Window coupe.
Started out as a street rod (thought that's what I wanted) but after a few years, its morphed into too fast for the street and nothing right if I were going to build a racecar from scratch but it is what it is and thats OK.
I only do 3 or 4 races a year, primarily the Langley Loafers "Old Time Drags in Ashcroft and Mission BC.
540 BBC, 671 Blower, 4L80-E trans, Detroit Locker W/3.89's
Best time so far is 9.13 @ 148, hope to get down to 8.90's @ 150 before I give up this insanity.

Hey Howard it's looking good down track with the "laundry" out!

Talking about cars that "morphed", yeah, I've got one of those also you can see here. http://kenrutledge.com/rre/studebaker.html That one started out as a low buck Pro Streeter but morphed into a too expensive and too heavy race car.

You say you only run 3 or 4 races a season? Since you're up in the "Great White North" I expect there's not much good racing weather for more than that! ;-) Do ya have snow tires for that thing? =;

Ennywho, it's good to see another "old fart" chasing speeds that make normal ppl not in the sport cringe when you mention it. I'll be 67 come September and going 140 in the eight mile now and I think I've got a few more years and MPH in me yet. ;-)

OH, and welcome again to the forum.

Oh, if I wanted, I could race almost every weekend from mid April thru mid October, I just don't have the budget for that much racing.
And there is ice racing up here in the winter, tires with studs about an inch long sticking out (not for me though). 9 second (1/4) snowmobiles too !
