At last someone else that paints the inside of their engine. I've been getting a ribbing for this for 45 years, but it does seal in any debree the steam clean didn't get and makes it easy to see any cracked webbs or such during a bearing check. Looking good, hope you get the lifter problem solved.

nice pics and vids, know a machinist that uses electric motor paint to paint his blocks. it is expensive but works very well. he has retired and moved about 5 years ago. \:D/

I always used the red rustoleom. That was the original paint over rust. That stuff really stuck to things.

When I/we paint the inside of the blocks i high pressure spray it with paint thinner and I let the paint cure for a few days before starting work on it

You have to give me a heads up next time you go to LACR. I had an invite last weekend but couldn't make it due to a particular fuel tank installation.

Ever come down to Irwindale?

Ran over 200 race nights on a BBC and it never peeled. That was circle track stuff and driven like it was stolen. I did chip it in a Hemi, but it also chipped a double fist full of block out too.
