There is a surprise for this month's feature.  Being an "old" person myself made this a natural for me as I really love to dig into racing history.  Don't be shocked by the photograph but take the time to read the entire article.  It's a really interesting read!!!

Please PM to let me know if you would like to see a follow up article on this subject.

While not a PM I will say that this kind of article is great.  I watched a documentary on the Ramchargers and this car some time ago on the Speed channel.  They also did a piece on the cars where the axles were moved forward 15" or so and they cleaned house at the track.  Billy might could do an article on that as well.

Nostalgia!!  Bring it on!

George

Yeh Buddy, Them pictures bring back memory's.  I looked up to these guys, and spent more time than their was lengthening and shortening injector stacks and exhaust tubes, never to find the magic length. Of course there was no dyno for 200 miles then either.

Very neat article. This stuff was just slightly before my time but I find it interesting just the same.

Well fellas, I'm afraid there won't be any other articles on The Ramchargers!  Billy contacted some of the other members to see if they would be interested in helping with a couple of more issues on the team and none of them wanted to get involved.  I guess some people do get old enough to not enjoy being involved in Drag Racing any more!  Too bad, I was really looking forward to having at least two more articles that would have taken the saga on up to the final venture in Funny Car and Top Fuel.  I guess it's just not meant to be!

Sorry!

And again I'd like to say a special thanks to Billy Shope for giving us the opportunity to see how it all got started.  Very special indeed!
