Hello
The car left for the bodyshop on Sunday afternoon. I am going to do some work on the hood this week and take it up sometime next week
The car will be back in a few weeks in Hot Rod flat black or a dull blue finish....not sure yet
The motor will be here in early July

I'm a sucker for a split window coupe Tom.  Never owned one but always wanted to.  I hope it turns out nice.  Keep us posted.  You've been a little scarce around here.

Hello
The car will be back here in around the first of July. The glass and trim should also be on the car by then
The engine will be here about  two weeks after that. I have to get the wiring and brakes done by then. It would be nice to have it barked up by the end of july, but it may be early August
If it is too late in the summer, I may just take it out for some test passes and then tow it to a couple of car shows
Some things get done a lot faster than I thought they would, but some things don't
I will feel pretty good about it, no matter what the outcome
I have fairly good fabrication skills, but I have little tune up skills for this type of car.( my drag car from yrs ago was  very short lived ...tranny and financial woes) I have had a thousand questions to ask, but until I get it out, there is not much point of saying very much
I want to get a really good handle on this combo, plus I want to try out a 2x4 set up I have. I also want to try a little nitrous shot...different cam maybe
I have a blower motor I am building, but until I am fairly confident in my tune up skills( plus I am broke now) there is not much point of putting in more power
I still have to get used to driving a 5 speed as well
I will have lots of questions to ask once I get this out, some probably fairly basic and dumb, but I do have lots to learn and I look forward to receiving advice from the guys on this forum
This will be a lot of fun
                                  take care
                                             Tom

I'll be anxious to see it painted too Tom.  I bet it's gonna look mighty nice.
