Looking good Rod,

Why the race pack logger? theres several others that will get the job done at half the price..

I'll give my opinion even though I've not used one.

Most logging systems are based on the circuit race loggers that started being used probably best part of 30 years ago.. they have changed a lot since then but while the circuit racer seems to be willing to pay for a name and some extras that they dont really need the price remains high. Don't get me wrong I don't doubt the ability of the high end... big name... systems I've used some of the best, they all have there own way of doing things but having said that unless you are getting into some serious competition with big money at stake and have someone who is good at data crunching then save a few $ and get a cheaper system.

The sensors are one of the most expensive parts of the system (when you log a lot of things) but most can be sourced elsewhere at a lower price avoiding the usual 1-200% mark up the logger manufacturers put on..

Just food for thought.

ssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh   Roy

thats supposed to be a secret & if you tell every body then they may take up Golf & if they do there will be no room on the Golf course for us

if we carnt get onto the course we wont get our balls dirty & if we dont have dirty balls we carnt get them washed  8-[

Rod,
Do you have anything to keep the engine from moving front to rear?

no it doesnt have a travel limiter, i have thought of it several times but this car was run in the US with a big block & when it was shipped out here to Australia it has run a small block all its life & never had a limiter on it

the car has a great history winning the 92 Pro Stock Championship & was runner up in the 93 Championship even though it didnt make a pass in the final race as the guy who owned it was just starting out in Top Fuel & had an accident in the morning & was unable to take any further part in the event or racing for several years

the car has competed very sucessfull here since then & never did it have a travel limiter

thanks Sam

i have been looking around at what others use but Racepac is by far the biggest here in Australia & parts are availiable here aswell

i have a Cygnus logger that i got with the car but its very basic & support for it is very thin over here

thanks again

Here is a pic of the engine limiters I have on both the Camaro and the Studebaker.  Simple, fairly light and it works!  Got one on both sides, and, it does need'em!

i know what its like Ron, i have sold 2 cars that i should of kept & also a bike

my favorite was a 64 1/4 Mustang "D" Code Manual Convertable that came for a great guy in Staten Island, i sold it about 8 years ago & still havent let the original owner know even though we still keep in contact

the other car i let go was about 12 Years ago & it was what we call a Holden Torana, it was street registered however it had a 3/4 chassis, its similar to the Monza that i had a couple of years ago

as you the bike it was a 92 Heritage Soft Tail & the guy i sold it to took it back to Italy with him

Are you sure that your front plate is only 3/8s???  With that Trans plate you should not need and thing else...IMO
